Under the Ponte Vecchio Bridge

Quiet waters are broken by a rower on this lovely morning. This was my first time abroad and the thrill of watching this rower in perfect form come up the river and glide past me in silence was a moment I will savor. I had recently watched the documentary of the making of "Boys in the Boat". I had read the book a several years ago and had the pleasure of hearing an acquaintance talk about his time on the U.S. team that participated in the Olympics held in Mexico. The stories told in those experiences were brought to life with this athlete. Medium: Soft and hard pastels
