Sundowner's Ataraxy

I wanted to express the serenity of lowlight inspired by the mountain valley in which I reside. This was a challenge to myself to draw upon my emotions that descend upon me when I witness this time of day just before sunset. This painting was done without a photo reference and just the fun of laying down marks and responding to them. It was a joy to paint. Soft pastels on #400 grit Uart paper.
