I live just outside of Asheville, N.C. I am one of the lucky survivors of Hurricane Helene. There is devastation all around our area. Thousands of fallen trees lay uprooted and broken. Lives, homes, towns, businesses, lost. I had to express my sadness and deep grief as this image was haunting me. Painting is my safe place for expression.
