This is a painting about the simple joy of sharing a sun filled day at the beach. Here, the languid mood of bobbing in the cool water on a float is interrupted by anticipation of an oncoming swell. I was particularly attracted to the way the sunlight shone on the girl’s skin and the movement and light on the water’s surface.
