These women's boots were up against a wall on a hacienda style patio, waiting to be worn. I used the honeycomb side of Canson Mi Tientes paper for a more rustic look. I always use a Carb Othello pastel pencil to begin with a sketch, then use Nupastel for an underpainting before going on to soft pastel.
