Honey Pot
I've been working on a series of still life paintings from ordinary objects. This honey pot is a beautiful ceramic piece we have had for years. I loved trying to capture the tilted lid, the light and shadows. I left the background minimal so the lid would be the focal point. This is painted on a piece of watercolor paper with a gesso/marble dust layer that I repurposed and a variety of pastels.
