Morning Snow Shadows
Walking along Clear Creek in Golden, Colorado, one snowy morning, I came across this opening in a fence. I was delighted by the shadows the fence cast on the snow and hoped that one day I could paint the scene. Several months later I found the photo in my pictures' file and this painting, done in pastels, is the result. Like so many artists, I rearrange shapes, so the photo and the painting are not duplicates, yet still bear some resemblance.
