Dad's Window Garden

Dad was a WW2 Combat Medic and recepient of a Silver Star and 2 Bronze Stars and 5 Campaign Ribbons. I quit work to take care of him in his late 80s so he could stay home. I knew he needed a nice place too sit in his wheelchair and watch the neighborhood, chatting with all the neighbor's that came by for his advice on construction, life and the state of the world. I put up 9 window boxes, some years even repainting the shutters to match the flowers. It was his favorite thing to do until he passed at 91.
