Glistening Silence

Glistening Silence, Emerging Pastel Artist
Glistening Silence
This is a scene from the Lieutenant River behind the Florence Griswold Museum in Old Lyme Connecticut. A storied place where Childe Hassam and some Americam Impressioniss had formed an art colony in the late 1800s. I was dropping a submission for a show at the Lyme Art Association, right next to it and after stopping in to visit the museum I came across this spot out back while walking the grounds. I could see why the had mingled and painted there.
