Bee On Almond Blossom

The local art group arranges for artists to visit the nearby farms and ranches to create art. I often paint en plein air. This day we visited a local almond orchard during the bloom. This day, I took many pictures. When I got home, I looked at my photos and combined a few to create this composition. I loved the play of the soft pink blossoms and the small yellow bee. To pop the blossoms, I used turquoise as the background color.
